Why should anyone be surprised by the negative attend given to Sarah Palin's daughter? Remember the presidential and vice-presidential debates four years ago?
In the vice-presidential debate, Democrat John Edwards made a point of referencing Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter. Just to eliminate any idea that this was an isolated incident, John Kerrey later referenced Dick Cheney's lesbian daughter during a presidential debate. Once could have been a casual comment; twice led me to believe there was a strategy to make Cheney's daughter an issue.
Hey America, this guy's daughter is a lesbian! What kind of father would raise a lesbian? Should we entrust our nation to him?
This is the implied message in the scruntiny Palin's family is getting. Any problems they have reflect on Palin. If Palin's son let the family dog leave doo-doo on the neighbor's lawn, Palin should not be Vice-President. If Palin's third cousin has a pimple on her backside, Palin should not be Vice-President.
